Sam the Turtle!

Saturday afternoon, the girls and I were at home and we heard Nash (our yellow lab) going crazy in our backyard! I took a glance outside to see what all the comotion was about and what did I see....NASH throwing this poor little guy around!  Now, let me tell you something about myself....I do not touch gross slimy creatures!  Never have really, I just think it's icky!  However, when I saw that this little turtle's life was in jeopardy, I ran to the rescue!  I cringed the whole time I was holding him because this turtle was hissing at me!  Yes, hissing! and I still held on!  I was actually pretty impressed with myself!  I had to be the hero in front of my girls! HA!  Paisleigh and Abigail were so excited to have a new pet turtle....for a day!  We released this little guy yesterday afternoon!  In the meantime, Paisleigh did name her first turtle, SAM!
