Oh...You Know...Surprises....

It feels like we have been running around like crazy people the past couple of weeks. I was lucky enough, two weekends ago, to catch the much dreaded tummy bug! YUCK! It was horrible.....Greg, his dad, my dad and his brother in law went on a fishing trip that same weekend...so let's just say....I didn't get much time to feel sorry for myself. I hate it when that happens! haha! But, he had a great time and Paisleigh and I stayed in our pj's the WHOLE weekend...pathetic....I think not! :)

Work is work...same 'ol same 'ol...let's not go there!

This past weekend; however, we did fly home on Friday and surprised his dad for his 50th birthday!! I love happy surprises!! He had a great party and we got to see all of our family and friends. It was a great trip! My sister, aka..Aunt Gigi...gave Paisleigh a Halloween surprise of her own while we were there....A couple of PRECIOUS TEXAS TECH outfits, pom poms that go in her hair or her mouth....where ever she decides to put them....and of course, the one and only, play doh...which SHE LOVES!

My Mom and Dad are coming in on Thursday to spend Halloween with Paisleigh! She is going to be a butterfly and we can not wait...Don't worry...PLENTY of pictures to come! Let's just hope she wants to keep on her costume....hmmmm? They will be cute pictures either way!

I love having family around all of the time. It seems as though we have really gotten to see a lot of them here lately and it is much needed! I miss my family!! :) Everytime they come to visit or we go back home, I secretly wish we did live closer. Somedays after work, I just want to go to my mom's house. Or go shopping on the weekends or have Sunday dinner! I miss that stuff really bad. And as Paisleigh is growing up, I really wish that she was going to have her Grandparents as close to her as I did. Those memories are some of my most cherished! But, things are different and we are not closer, so I really need to stop having a pitty party for myself, huh! Who knows what the future holds...we may end up closer someday! But unitl then, I have the Gristmill and the most precious grandbaby to wave in front of them to get them down here often!! hehe!

I am so ready to get back in the swing of going to our Church! I feel like I have not been in FOREVER! I really miss our Service and our Sunday School class! This week we will make it to Church, but not Sunday School....One more week and things will start calming down. Hopefully?!? We do have Bible Study tonight, though....so we will be able to catch up a bit that way! I am just so thankful that God lead us to our Church. The friends and the fellowship that we have there is amazing! We are truely blessed. On an exciting note...a friend from our Church whom her and her family moved away this past June...Was back in town last night, and it just so happens they were our neighbors too. We miss them terribly! She was pregnant when they moved and I got to meet the little angel last night! He is three months old and precious and she was doing great! I just think it is so amazing how God brings such wonderful people in your life and you are able to watch their blessings unfold too.

The weather is cooling off here...YEA! I am so ready for long sleeves and jackets that feel like they are giving you a hug! It is by far one of my most favorite feelings! We have had a lot going on and surprises everywhere.....I will keep you up to date on any more that pop up!

I Love This Time Of Year...

I LOVE the change of seasons...This is by far, one of my most favorite times of the year! The air is cool (which is a relief), a little rainy and things are about to starting turning! It is literally like a breath of fresh air! Don't get me wrong, I love the spring and summer...but, I LOVE the Fall! I love the "let's snuggle" weather, the clothes, the shoes, the colors, Thanksgiving and most of all CHRISTMAS!! It's Wonderful!

We had a great weekend! Paisleigh had her first earache this past week (not bad for being 15 months old and having a first earache...), but she is feeling much better--Thank Goodness! We do not like to see our little one not feeling good! But, we did get in some really good "mom & Pais cuddle" time!! I know she was excited to get back to daycare this morning and see all of her little buddies! I think she has had enough play time with Mom and Dad! hehe! Greg worked the Gruene Wine and Music Fest last night helping out with all of the sound for the many bands that played! He had a great time...and I am glad!! :)
Oh Yea...the BIG EXCITEMENT...we FINALLY got new cell phones and new numbers (after having moved over 2 1/2 years ago...emabarrassing!!). I LOVE my new phone...I had to call my mom last night, again, just so I could use my phone! haha!!

We are just getting ready for Halloween...I am so excited to see Pais in her costume!! I will be sure to post some pictures of her and her adorable costume!

Rush, Rush, Rush...Breathe...It's Friday!

WOW! I have never needed a weekend so bad!! This week has been a doozie! It feels like this week has been nothing but rush-rush-rush and worry. Oh well...we are going to have a great weekend with a little time to just breathe! Paisleigh's Grammie and Granddaddy are coming in to visit (Greg's Parents) and we are soooo excited to watch the Tech game on Saturday against Kansas!! GO TECH!
Even though we have really been trying to focus more on family time and less worry about work....it still seems to get in the way! I will just keep praying for God to continue to give me patience and strength...He has already helped me so much, even in just the past couple of weeks with it! God is Great!

I hope everyone has a great and relaxing weekend too.....
